Sam Kunde
I joined the world of wine after many long years pursuing a different art. My love of performance began on stage as a classical musician, which brought me to London to study under teachers of the highest calibre.
The time I spent training my ear has given me the discipline, refinement, and obsession that have taken me headstrong into the wine world. Wine service, after all, is only another style of performance - focused on the nose and palate rather than only the ears. The nuance, however, is just as deep, the stakes just as high, and the payoff just as memorable. Every symphony reaches a finale, just as every bottle has a last sip.
At 25, I work as a sommelier at a Michelin-starred restaurant, where expertise is foundational and quality is non-negotiable. Like in music, the story behind every wine and effective presentation of that story shapes the way I source and share my bottles - it's all in service of something memorable.
